It is a small extra amount that must be paid when using a medical service, in certain policies. This amount is in addition to the monthly premium paid for the health policy. Choosing health insurance with or without a co-payment affects the premium you will pay each month.
The waiting period is the period of time that must elapse from the date you sign up for the policy until you can make use of certain services offered by health insurance policies. The waiting periods are computed in months and may vary depending on the type of service and the policy contracted.
Surgical tests of group 0 to 2 according to WHO: 3 months.
Complex diagnostic tests and psychology: 6 months.
Childbirth or cesarean section: 8 months.
Complex therapeutic methods, tubal ligation, vasectomy, hospitalization and surgical interventions from group 3 to 8 according to WTO*: 10 months.
Pre-existing conditions are defined as the client’s pathologies existing prior to the date of contracting the product. If you wish to take out a policy and you suffer or have suffered from an illness or injury, an operation or any other symptom, the medical department will call you to assess it.
